Southend Play Partnership Update

Earlier in the year Southend Play Partnership was successful in securing BIG Lottery funding for the improvement and creation of play facilities within the Borough. The three projects that have received funding are:

New Youth Area at Leigh Marshes.

New Teenage Play Area Southchurch Park.

Replacement of the Toddler Play Area Eastwood Park.

We are currently in the process of evaluating the designs for these facilities and are seeking the views of young people and other interested parties such as the parents and guardians of those who will be using the facility on the designs.

If you or your family have an interest in any of these projects please visit the consultation section of the Councils web site www.consultationfinder.com/southend  and complete the online questionnaire. Alternatively those interested can visit the branch library nearest  to the area they are interested in and view the design for that park and complete a paper copy of the questionnaire.

Leigh Library = New Youth Area at Leigh Marshes.

Kent Elms Library = Replacement of the Toddler Play Area Eastwood Park.

Southchurch Library = New Teenage Play Area Southchurch Park.

If you have friends or know of other people who would be interested in these projects please draw their attention to this consultation.  Any help in raising the awareness of this consultation is greatly appreciated particularly with young people who will use the facilities whose views are important to us.
