Log of swan activity on Southchurch Park East & Friars Park

27 March The resident swans have commenced nest building on the reed bed spit.

28 March From the way she is acting & is very heavy underneath, I anticipate that she will lay over this weeekend.

2 April Swan laid an egg on Sunday & Tuesday, lays every two days, so we will keep a look on Thursday

6 April The Swan has layed at least 3 eggs from Sun 30th Mar. She started sitting on the nest fulltime as from the 5th April, a full 12 days later than last year.
